STILL HERE:
Group exhibition of 4 Korean Artists

“STILL HERE” examines artistic identity through migration, inheritance, and memory. Bringing together Korean immigrant artists working in traditional Korean calligraphy, photography, and painting, “STILL HERE” considers how creative practices survive displacement and evolve across time.

Each artist carries techniques learned through masters, teachers, and sustained practice, while reshaping them through decades of life in the US. “STILL HERE” invites future generations to see our neighbors, parents, and friends with greater depth, attention, and honor.

재미 한국 작가 4인전

『STILL HERE』는 이주, 계승, 그리고 세대를 잇는 기억 속에서 형성되는 예술가의 정체성을 조명합니다. 전통 한국 서예, 회화, 그리고 사진 작업을 이어가는 한국 이민 작가들을 한자리에 모아, 창작의 실천이 어떻게 새로운 환경 속에서도 이어지고 시간과 함께 변화하며 발전해 가는지를 보여줍니다.

각 작가는 스승과 오랜 수련을 통해 익힌 기법을 바탕으로, 미국에서 수십 년을 살아오며 그것을 자신만의 예술 세계로 새롭게 발전시켜 왔습니다. 『STILL HERE』 는 미래 세대가 우리 곁의 이웃과 부모, 그리고 친구들을 더욱 깊이 이해하고, 더 큰 관심과 존경의 마음으로 바라볼 수 있기를 바랍니다.
